Interface for High End Scanner
Input DeskLink Quintet for scanners

Description:
High Performance, Bi- Directional scanner interface for input scanning and PostScript output, including:
PostScript output uses a Centurfax designed interface direct to a standard SCSI interface PC(IBM clone), with RIP software.
Image input uses a Mac or PC (IBM clone) or Sun Sparc workstation.
Image data is transferred from the high end scanner directly to a dedicated image buffer disk as a back ground task, and converted “on the fly” into industry standard formats:
  • TIFF
  • DCS (Mac only)
  • EPS (Mac Only)
  • Scitex CT
According to operator choice, alternatively images may be read directly into Adobe Photoshop (Mac) for retouch
Special Features:
PostScript output- RIP ‘n’ Plot- Dual image disks ensure both RIP (PC station) and scanner expose can run without interruption- all expose is a background task to PostScript RIP function.

High-quality, CenturRip, Harlequin , Founder Script works software RIP

Image input- Dual image disks ensure both scanner operator and receiving workstation can work to maximum capacity, without interruption- all input scanning is a background task.

Keyboard reading- for Crosfield and Hell scanner DeskLink “reads” the keyboard settings, there is no need to “re-key” information.

Batch scanning- DeskLink supports scanners with Robotic or Batch (Multran) scanning facilities.
